Displaying Magnificent Colts at Colt’s Booth at The SHOT Show
Sands Convention Center, Las Vegas January 17th-20th
Followed by the Wallace Beinfeld and Safari Club International Shows
Bob Lee always said that the SHOT Show was the greatest extravaganza in the history of the magical world of firearms. With over 1,600 exhibitors, and more than 31,500 attendees, the SHOT (Shooting & Hunting Outdoor Trade) Show is now in its 34th year. Each year it is better than ever before.
So huge that it can be held only in a few venues around the U.S., SHOT’s sponsor is the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), headquartered in Newtown, Connecticut. NSSF’s President, Steve Sanetti, was President of Sturm, Ruger & Co., and guides the organization with the wisdom he garnered while serving for nearly two decades as Bill Ruger’s chief legal affairs counsel.
One of the longest term exhibitors at SHOT has been the Colt company, a supporter from the beginning. Colt’s Chairman for many years, Donald Zilkha, wrote the excellent preface to Magnificent Colts Selections from the Robert M. Lee Collection. And Donald will be present on the 17th and 18th of January.
Three major shows in Las Vegas will be the site of the premier of our landmark Magnificent Colts book:
- The SHOT Show at the Sands Expo Convention Center;
- Wallace Beinfeld’s Antique Arms Show at the Riviera Hotel (Jan. 20-22);
- The Safari Club International Annual Convention (Feb. 1-4), at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino.
With our yellowstonepress.com website running full-tilt taking orders and reservations, samples of our book will premier at the SHOT Show – at Colt’s booth (no. 12529) and at Blue Book Publications booth (no. 16258), led by Steve Fjestad, one of our premier distributors for Magnificent Colts.
Then on the 20th we will immediately transfer to the Beinfeld Show. (Watch for our large signs in the front, Section A, Row B, Tables 2 and 3. And at Tony Galazan’s Connecticut Shotgun Mfg. Co. booth in the modern arms section.
Then from the February 1-4 we will be at SCI in the Safari Press booth (no. 546) and Tony Galazan’s Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Co. booth (no. 1930).
All of us at Yellowstone Press look forward to showing off the creation of a team that has been working diligently to make Magnificent Colts Selections from the Robert M. Lee Collection, the most beautiful firearms book ever published. And more specifically, celebrating with this 600-page, two volume landmark work, the 175 years of Colt firearms and their creator, Colonel Samuel Colt.
